Super Tumbling Athletes Really Shine

Welcome to STARS Tumbling, where everyone shines like the STARS that they are!

We strive to build better kids, not just better skills.  We have classes that start as early as 20 months through high school.  All children work on their own level and at their own pace, while still learning to set their goals and work toward them.

Meet Noelle Miller, Michelle Swab, & Lacey Cooke

Noelle Miller has attained a Bachelor's in Elementary/Special Education with a minor in coaching and also has her Master's in Special Education.  She has 18+ years of experience teaching tumbling and doesn't feel like it is work at all.  She loves, loves, loves her job.  Noelle was an employee of the National Cheerleaders Association for 11 years where she trained thousands of cheerleaders as well as their coaches from around the country. While working for them, she also helped with the production of both the Orange Bowl and the Hula Bowl.  Noelle is always in a positive mood and is always eager to work with her STARS.  Noelle's favorite things to see are social progress and skill improvement!

Michelle Swab is a 21 year old college senior at Penn State Harrisburg.  She has been with the program for 10 years, started helping 9 years ago, and became a STARS teacher 5 years ago.  Michelle is also Noelle's right and left-hand woman. Among other things she spots flips, does paper work, and answers parent's questions.  Michelle helps with all of the classes and teaches 5 of her own on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  Along with her tumbling experience, she has been  involved in dance for 15 years and was a student demonstrator for 3 years.

Lacey Cooke has attended Slippery Rock University. She majored in Elementary Education and Special Education, and minored in Adaptive Physical Activity. She received her masters from Slippery Rock in Adaptive Physical Activity. She has taught Special Education for 6 years and currently teaches Middle School Life Skills at Millersburg, since she just moved back to the area from South Carolina. Lacey cheered at Slippery Rock as well as coached at NCA for 7 years. She is super excited to be getting married in July of 2014. Her favorite part about STARS is being able to meet kids from all over the area!
